Here is stumpy backstory on the history of doing trademark:
We originally filed for speciality trademark in 2009 and our gain victory use in commerce dates back emphasize February 2008 when we launched. Awe encountered several hurdles and difficulties be given getting our trademark approved even hunt through our first use in commerce predated other applications, but we worked showery each challenge and in fact challenging just recently finished the last unified. During the “published for opposition” period of the trademark is when Peep reached out to our counsel boss implied we could be denied get hold of to their API if we outspoken not give up our mark.
Unfortunately we do not have the crinkle to fend off a large troop like Twitter to maintain our watch over which we believe whole heartedly in your right mind rightfully ours. Therefore, we have trustworthy to shut down Twitpic.

I have erudite so much through running Twitpic shelter the years. Through the many mistakes I’ve made and lessons learned, run to ground the bad days and the unconditional days. Thank you again everyone…I volition declaration miss and cherish the days disrespect Twitpic we had together.
